A short story for you
So, once upon a time in a world that resembled a series of tubes….
Okay, lets scrap this, here’s the deal: My website died. I have all the posts that used to be here, and I got one put back, but I haven’t got all the kinks worked out. I think I might just build and archive page and stash them there and start over.
So, the good news is this: I finished the Devils Jacket v2.0, and even better news it looks like it should! AND I wore it to work on Monday and got several compliments on it. Statements like “Ooh, where did you get that?” to which I got to happily reply “I made it.” YES! I MADE it people, MADE it. I made something wearable!
Tada!

(also, I got new glasses, turns out I have really bad vision in my left eye. But the glasses are hot, they’re green and Donna Karen.)
This is a close up of the motif pattern, the relief shell stitch. It uses the back post double crochet and the front post double crochet. I had to take this whole damn thing out twice because I kept screwing up the motif, at one point I had this weird long right front peice and I was almost in tears. Luckily, the other crafters at Craftster kept my spirits high and pointed me in the direction of the correct errata for the pattern.
I also bought a shirt from the people at Spread Shirt that has a skull and crochet hooks on it.
It says “Craft or Die” on the front under the hooks and has the craftster url on the back and “DaniDo Crafty” under that. Not bad for less than $25. Please ignore the stupid face I’m making, I took the picture to put on Craftster with the other people who ordered similiar shirts, the other crafters don’t care about my goofy face.
