How I spent my day…
It may look like an amoeba to you but it’s really a hippie head band. Actually it’s a way to keep your head warm without messing up your pony tail.
See?
It’s made from scraps of super wonderful gorgeous Noro wool that my new mentor/boss (Gail) gave me.
Some other pictures, from every conceivable angle.
I love this! I learned short row shaping for this. Pattern is Calorimetry from www.knitty.com.
Although I learned the short row thing on my own (not really that hard.) Gail did teach me how to make flowers, leaves, bobbles and how to felt by hand. I have some flowers and leaves that I’ve been making, but I took a little break to do this head thingy. Pictures to come.
Tomorrow I have to work on the pattern for Gails bag. Which…because it’s not my design, and it’s not a pattern that is published you probably won’t see pictures of here. Sorry. But it’s cool, promise!
All in all a good day.
