The Brown Cardigan is DONE.
I finally just got sick and tired of knitting on it so it turned into a cropped cardigan. It’s…okay, but I am by no means in love with it. It’s also really not my style, but Mike says it looks nice on me so I’m going to try to get some wear out of it. It fits, and it’s finished and it’s the first people sized thing I’ve finished that fits me. So it’s a small victory. I’ve also learned a ton about knitting since starting this so I think part of the reason I’m not stoked by it is because I can see a lot of ways I could have made it better. There are also some mistakes in it.
Well, anyway, here it is:
Forgive my face, it was bright outside and I wasn’t particularly concerned with how my faced looked as I was more interested in photographing the cardigan.
Two small buttons on the bottom to hold the thing closed. 4×4 ribbing around the bottom, seed stitch around the collar and button band.
There’s a little lacy looking bit in the back where I had to increase stitches so it’d fit over my boobs (which is still doesn’t) and I didn’t know how to increase without yarning over, now I do. So next time, under the arms and using k1fb instead of in the middle of the back and yarning over. Gack.
But the damn thing is OFF the needles now, so I can move on to something I might wear for the next one.
