Most ridiculous thing I’ve knit. Ever.
Fingerless mittens. They have a purpose, promise. The idea of these was brought up at the last Knit Night because all of us wimpy desert folk where bitching about it being cold on the patio where we have our meetings. The thought was brought up that fingerless mittens might be a good idea for knitting at night in the chill of the desert winter. So….there you be. Fingerless mittens. There was a prototype before settling on this one. They were ugly and bulky. These are better.
One down, one to go. This one only took me about four hours. I should have the other one done by the end of my shows tonight. (Desperate Housewives and Dexter)
In other news: I got my hair cut yesterday. It’s cute. Nothing new, just back to the A-line bob and trimmed up the bangs again. But it’s nice to have shape to my hair again. Also: dentist appointment tomorrow morning. The wisdom tooth in the back of my mouth is starting to ache and this time I’m being proactive instead of waiting until I can’t chew.
That’s it for Dani news. Off to make the other mitten.

Why is it that when people talk about their teeth, mine start to hurt?
I’ve never really understood fingerless gloves/mittens (says she who has Endpaper Mitts as a WIP) - I’ve always found that it’s my fingertips that get the coldest! I guess knitted thimbles for each finger wouldn’t be quite so practical…
