Polaris Sock Contest Winner!
So StaceyKnitsIt is the winner of the random comment drawing for a free copy of the Polaris Sock pattern! Congrats Stacey! Thank you all for telling me what your perfect sock consists of; it was interesting to see that mostly everyone who likes toe up socks like the gusset style heel (I do too.) which makes me very happy because the Polaris Socks happen to be toe up with a no pick up gusset heel that gives the sock a very finished and fitted look in my opinion, at least more so than short row heels. Unless absolutely necessary I try to design my toe up socks with this style of heel. It’s also nice to see such a nice mix of people who like variegated yarns and semi solids. Good to know both when I’m designing socks and dying sock yarns!
Speaking of, I’ll be adding new sock yarns to the shop in the next few days and I may even be running another ‘Holy crap! Something bad happened and I need money! Sale’, because on my way to class this morning I managed to hit a curb and pop my rear drivers side tire. I ripped a big fat hole in it, which means it’s beyond simple repair and I now have to figure out how I’m going to afford a new tire. Or rather 2 new tires since you’re supposed to buy them in pairs so it doesn’t screw your car up worse. When I get the shop stocked again I will post information about what’s there and what kind of sales promotions I’m offering. I can’t drive on this donut wheel for long, especially in a city like Las Vegas where if you’re going under 60 miles an hour you’re holding up traffic even on surface streets!
In the meantime if you’d like to help out this broke college student and maybe get something neat in return you can buy a pattern or two from my shop, every little bit helps out.
I’ve got that other sock pattern currently being tested but the first round of notes came back on it and there are definitely some kinks to work out so that may be awhile before it’s released because I don’t like patterns with that many mistakes or that require the knitter to make that many leaps of logic, I tend to wing my knitting more often then not so sometimes it’s hard for me when I set out to test one of my patterns because I tend to just skip over parts and knit it so it looks good. Which makes for very nice looking items but are often hard to recreate!
I will be having a new contest to name that new sock design soon, but right now I need to focus on getting the pattern kinks worked out!

Does buying them on Rav give you the same $$?? Because, the ones I would like to buy (your new cowl and sock patterns) are sold out in your shop…
