It’s AAAALLLIVVVE!
The Esker Hat pattern has been released! You can download it from Ravelry here or click below to buy it right from this here blog.
It’s a really fun hat, you knit a band flat and seam or graft it together then pick up stitches around to knit the crown. This is by far the best fitting hat I own, the shape of it lends itself to fitting on the top of your head which is where I like to wear my hats. I have some ideas for variations on this theme with different stitches/pattern combinations but the same construction. Thank you so much to my pattern testers; Chelsea, Laura and April. Thank you ladies! You are awesome.
I’m working up a really interesting design in that Unique Sheep gradiance colorway I have. I’m really excited about it. It’s a little more complex than most of my designs but I think it’s going to be really pretty. I hope it works out how I’m envisioning it. The initial idea I had for that yarn just did not work out. I kept trying and trying and trying and it just wasn’t working. So I scrapped it and started over with something entirely different and am much happier with the results. As soon as I know if it’s going to work out or not I’ll post some pictures. Right now I’m keeping it under wraps until I’m certain it’ll come to fruition.
