iPod Sock

iPod sock

iPod Sleeve

Less than 1 skein DK weight yarn (I used artyarns super merino color: sm114)
US7 needles (or size appropriate to yarn weight)
E/4 crochet hook (or size to match needles used)
Tapestry needle
Button

• This pattern fits the thickest iPod, the 80g video 5th gen. The ribbing makes it stretchy so this pattern could fit any of the video iPods, and by reducing the stitches to 10 stitches at cast on would fit a Nano.

CO 16

Row 1: *k2, p2* rep across row
Row 2: *p2, k2* rep across row
Repeat rows 1 & 2 until piece measures 8 ½ “
Bind off

Seam sides using mattress stitch
Attach yarn to top row of bound off stitches using crochet hook. Attach at a seam to it looks like it is part of the seam.
Single crochet around the top once or twice, this tightens up the top so it holds it’s shape.

Pick up 8 stitches in the middle of one side of the pouch, knit 4 rows (either stockinette or garter whichever you prefer) then make button hole large enough to accommodate the size of the button (if the button is four stitches wide, do a three stitch button hole, ect.) knit two more rows, bind off.

Weave in ends and sew on button. Sew button in the middle of the center rib on the front side.
